Aikido is a movement art form that enhances self-confidence, awareness and focus. Aikido of New Orleans kids curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of footwork, ukemi (rolling and falling) and techniques. Aikido Games are used as teaching tools to help build skills in a centered and fun environment. Kids classes are a lot of fun and full of challenges for both the mind and body.  In addition to teaching self-defense, children's classes emphasize practicing self-control, body awareness and partner communication.

Kids age 6 to 12 can participate in children’s classes. Teenagers are encouraged to join adult classes. Parents are welcome to train with their children.
